That’s why every professional should start a Brag File

(Also known as a “Victory Log” or “Career Journal”).

Here’s how it helps and how to build one:

1. What is a Brag File?

It’s a personal, ongoing document where you store:

✅ Positive feedback from peers or managers

✅ Project wins and outcomes (metrics, screenshots, deliverables)

✅ Awards, certifications, milestones

✅ Emails or DMs where someone praised your work

✅ Testimonials or LinkedIn recommendations

2. Why It Matters

🔹 Resume Ready — You’ll always have data to back up your achievements

🔹 Interview Fuel — Pull real examples for behavioral questions like “Tell me about a time…”

🔹 Confidence Boost — On bad days, it reminds you of how far you’ve come

🔹 Negotiation Ammo — Show your receipts when asking for a raise or promotion

So, Google and other companies are bringing back In-person Job Interviews to Combat AI Cheating

Recruiters are seeing candidates use AI tools during virtual interviews, sometimes reading answers verbatim, which undermines the integrity of the process.

I am a recruiter IRL, and this issue can be problematic in technical interviews where real-time problem-solving is expected.

The CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, stated the company is reintroducing in-person interview rounds to ensure candidates truly understand the fundamentals.

These moves reflect a broader trend among major firms to preserve authenticity and assess genuine skill in hiring, especially as AI tools become more accessible and sophisticated.
