Every job seeker should be ready to explain who they are, what they do, and what they want in under 30 seconds.
This short introduction, known as an elevator pitch, is one of the most powerful tools you can have in your job search.

🎯 1. Define Who You Are
Start with your professional identity, not just your job title. Example: “I’m a marketing professional who loves turning data into storytelling strategies.”

Mention your top strengths or what makes you unique. Focus on results you’ve created, not just tasks you’ve done.
Example: “I’ve helped brands increase engagement by using audience insights to guide creative campaigns.”

📉 Labor Market Weakness
Fed Concern: Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller signaled support for another 25 bps rate cut later this month, citing “clear warning signs” of weakening labor demand despite solid GDP growth.
Hiring Slowdown: Economists expect monthly payroll gains to average ~60,000 through year-end, down from ~75,000 earlier in 2025.
Layoffs Rising: Nearly 950,000 jobs have been cut so far this year, the highest since 2020. Long-term unemployment (27+ weeks) is now 26% of the jobless pool, a three-year high.
🛑 Consumer Sentiment & Job Anxiety
UMich Consumer Sentiment Index for October is stuck at 55.0, near historic lows.
Job Security Concerns: 60% of surveyed consumers expect unemployment to rise over the next year.
Confidence in Job Availability: Only 26.9% of consumers say jobs are “plentiful,” the weakest reading since early 2021.
📊 Economic Outlook
Growth vs. Jobs Divergence: NABE economists see GDP growth improving to 1.8% in 2025, but job gains weakening.
Unemployment Forecast: Expected to rise from 4.3% (Aug) to 4.5% in 2026.
Inflation: Still running above target (~3% PCE expected for 2025), but moderating enough for the Fed to prioritize labor market stability.

First impressions do matter. Having a lame profile picture will hurt your chances when you’re looking for work. It might seem small, but it matters. Check out this cheat code and level up that LinkedIn profile pic.
Applying to over 50-100 roles a day or even week is a lot for anyone but with this tool it makes it super easy. Just make sure those roles line up with your skills (Do Not apply to roles that you’re not a good fit for). Remember what uncle Ben said:

Making short form videos can be hard and it takes time. That’s why you can pull from your long form videos and make something fast with this tool. Making content around what you do is key when on the job hunt. Show them what you’re made of because video is the future. I know you came across some applications asking you to make a video, right?
