I wanted to say thank you for being a part of Dellyn Digital.
When I first started the YouTube channel (on the same day as my birthday Nov 16th) I wanted to level up job seekers with my skill points in HR/ recruitment.
When I posted those 6 videos in one day, I couldn’t image that I would hit 300+ subs in less than a year of starting the channel.
Expect more from me ok.
I am taking it to the next level in 2026 with a podcast and a new series.
Oh, and thanks for stopping by the 4×4=16 live streams.
I had a lot of fun spending time with you and playing video games.
Turning 33, feels amazing and I am looking forward to level 34!

💡Job hunting Tip of the week 💡
Build a “Brag Sheet” Before You Need It
When it comes time to update your resume or prep for an interview, most people scramble to remember what they’ve achieved.
Don’t be that jo seeker.
⸻
📘 1. What’s a Brag Sheet?
It’s a running document where you list your accomplishments, big or small.
Think of it as your personal achievement log.
Every win, project, or compliment from a boss goes here.
⸻
🧩 2. Why It’s Important
When you keep track of your results over time, you’ll have an easy reference for metrics, impact statements, and stories that impress hiring managers.
It saves you hours later and boosts your confidence when you’re job hunting.
⸻
✍️ 3. What to Include
• Projects that had measurable results
• Awards, promotions, or recognitions
• Positive feedback from clients or supervisors
• New skills, certifications, or tools you’ve learned
• Times you solved a tough problem or improved a process
⸻
🎯 4. Bonus Tip
Keep your brag sheet in Google Docs or Notion so you can add to it on the fly.
Every few months, review it and use those achievements to refresh your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile (don’t forget to post about them and frame it as a what I learn from this exp. post).
⸻
💡 TL;DR: Track your wins like you track your progress in a game.
When opportunity knocks, you’ll already have your highlight reel ready to go.

What’s New with the Job Market this week?
This week’s job market shows a sharp rebound in hiring numbers but remains clouded by mass layoffs and weak seasonal hiring.
Employers added jobs in November, but AI-driven cuts and cautious hiring plans are reshaping the landscape.
📊 Key Developments in the U.S. Job Market (Nov 10–14, 2025) Strong rebound in November hiring
The U.S. added 227,000 jobs in November, a major recovery from October’s slump of just 24,000.
Unemployment ticked up slightly to 4.2%, with prime-age employment (25–54) falling to 80.4%.
Biggest gains: healthcare (+72K), hospitality (+53K), and manufacturing (+26K).
Layoffs surge past 1 million in 2025
Over 1.2 million jobs have been cut this year, a 22% increase from 2024.
October alone saw 153,074 job cuts, the worst October in 22 years.
Tech leads with 38% of cuts, followed by finance (22%) and retail (15%).
Major players: Amazon (14,000+ corporate jobs), Microsoft (2,900), Meta (2,100), JPMorgan (3,200), and UPS (48,000 this year).
Government shutdown impact
Thousands of federal layoffs were reversed after a Senate deal ended the shutdown this week. Workers will receive back pay, stabilizing public-sector employment.
Seasonal hiring slowdown
Retail holiday job postings are down 16% year-over-year, with fewer companies announcing large seasonal hiring plans.
Amazon is hiring 250,000 seasonal workers, but overall retail hiring is expected to be 265K–365K, far below last year’s 442K.
Fed policy outlook
With layoffs mounting and hiring cooling, the Federal Reserve is expected to cut rates again in December to support growth.
⚖️ Takeaway
The labor market is sending mixed signals: headline job growth looks strong, but layoffs are at their highest in two decades, and hiring plans are at their lowest since 2011.
AI adoption is accelerating restructuring, hitting white-collar and logistics roles hardest. Seasonal hiring is weaker than usual, suggesting a cautious holiday outlook.
