As someone who recently experienced a layoff in late 2024, I've been deeply immersed in understanding how artificial intelligence is reshaping our professional landscape. What I've discovered might surprise you.
The Unexpected Shift
Recent findings from the Pew Research Center reveal an interesting paradox: workers with advanced degrees may actually face higher risks of AI displacement. We're seeing this play out in real-time, particularly in states like California, where white-collar positions are declining while blue-collar jobs are experiencing growth.
Surprisingly, traditional trades plumbing, electrical work, and similar hands-on professions are proving remarkably resistant to automation.
